Winter Steelhead: As things simmered down from our week of raging blown out rivers, it was time to start hitting the rivers on the drop. Friday fished well with multiple shots on swung winter steelhead. Saturday was great with a guest that came all the way from PA getting on the board with a good one in the first run. A little bump in levels on Sunday, and looks good the next couple days. Time to get out there, winter steelhead is on.

WINTER STEEL REPORT: most system have been on the drop the last couple of days and fishing. Getting into late innings. Highly recommend getting out there before it wraps up. Great conditions to take a swung fly for a swim and see who climbs on.

WINTER STEELHEAD REPORT: So the last week fished pretty well. Most systems where on the drop and had plenty of fish around. The North Umpqua trips fised well, nice to have some fish around and plenty of bright beautiful hens. The bucks we did find seemed for that high in the system and this late really bright. Must be a late push. We'll take it. There is a couple weeks left. If you need a fix on winter steelhead, it is not to late. If rivers are in shape get out there. For booking information see below.

Winter Steelhead Report:
Rivers keep dropping and looks like there is not a lot of rain in the immediate forecast. Most systems are kicking out fish, but slowing down. Smaller systems will get a little tougher as it gets, lower and clearer. Bigger systems will still fish, but switch gears to low clear stealth tactics. Some rain to shuffle the deck would be nice. If systems are fishable get out there. Winter steelhead season seems to come and go quickly. You can't catch them on the couch.

WINTER STEELHEAD REPORT: get out there, the big water event ( huge of a week or so ago) are over, most systems have dropped and have been fishing the last couple of days with fish being caught and good reports from Central to North Coast.
Matt was out this last week and was finding fish. These next couple of days will be prime time. Not too much rain in the future. Before you know it might be too low. Ahh the cyclic winter season, pray for rain than pray for the rivers to drop.
Prime time is just getting started. Two great months ahead of us.
